I am excited to begin my tenure as vice chancellor for advancement at the University System of Maryland (USM) and as president and CEO of the USM Foundation.
My career in higher education has brought me a deep admiration for the USM and the USM Foundation and their lasting impact on higher education. As a first-generation college graduate, I know personally how transformative higher education can be — not just for individuals, but for entire families and communities.
Before joining the USM, I served as vice chancellor for strategic partnerships and economic development at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, the nation’s largest HBCU. Earlier in my career, I held advancement and development leadership roles with the University of North Carolina System, Emory University, and the V Foundation for Cancer Research. These experiences have prepared me to strengthen partnerships and further the impact of the USM and the USM Foundation.
I look forward to building on this important work together to support Maryland’s students, faculty, staff, and institutions.
