Gregory Fowler, Ph.D., Named President of University of Maryland Global Campus

Gregory Fowler, Ph.D. was named the next president of UMGC on December 9.

Fowler will begin his position at the university on January 4. He comes to the USM from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where he served as chief academic officer and vice president for academic affairs before becoming president of SNHU’s Global Campus in 2018. He brings with him more than 25 years of experience in higher education.

Fowler is the successor to Javier Miyares, who announced his retirement after an eight-year tenure as president of UMGC.
