Paul H. Mullan

Retired Vice Chairman and Strategic Partner Charterhouse Group International, Inc.

Paul Mullan was Vice Chairman and Strategic Partner at Charterhouse Group International in New York from 1997 until 2013. The private equity investment firm was founded in 1973 and manages in excess of $1 billion in capital, primarily acquiring and managing middle-market companies. Mr. Mullan joined Charterhouse in 1989 when they acquired Fleer Corp., the national sports trading card and confectionery company, where he was Chairman and CEO. Upon build-up and sale of Fleer to Marvel Entertainment, Mr. Mullan became Co-Chairman and CEO of food processing giant Del Monte Foods.

Other Charterhouse companies at which Mr. Mullan held Chairman/CEO roles included Wham-O, classic toys including Frisbees and Boogie boards; United Design, a maker of giftware and accessories; Cellu Tissue Corp., specialty paper manufacturing; and Rudi”s Organic Foods. Prior experiences included Divisional President at General Mills and Marketing positions at Nestle, USA. He currently serves on boards of Totus Solutions, and Charterhouse, and is an emeritus member of the University System of Maryland Foundation Board.

Mr. Mullan holds a BS (1968) and MBA (1970) from University of Maryland, College Park.
