Nebiyu Teshome brings extensive experience in corporate finance and international accounting to his role as Director of Accounting at USMF. Prior to joining USMF, Nebiyu served as Corporate Controller for BSD, a Mid-Atlantic ice cream distribution company that held the master concessionaire agreement for leading brands such as Ben & Jerry’s, Talenti, Häagen-Dazs, and Blue Bunny. Before BSD, he worked as Senior Accounting Supervisor at Cision US, a SaaS company that transitioned from private equity ownership under GTCR to a publicly traded entity on the NYSE.
Nebiyu began his U.S. career in 2012 at Laureate Education (LAUR), a publicly listed global for-profit higher education company based in Baltimore, where he supported European universities with EU tax compliance and later advanced to lead senior international accountant for the University of Liverpool and University of Roehampton.
He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Namibia and an MBA from the University of Gloucestershire (UK).
