During his more than 45 years at The Boggs Wealth Management Group, Larry has received recognition from the firm and his community. In 1977, he received the James C. Wheat Award (1) a predecessor firm’s highest honor. Currently, he is a Managing Director – Investments, the title reserved for the Financial Advisors who achieve the firm’s highest standards of ethics, production and client service. Based on similar criteria, he was also recognized in 1985 as one of the top 10 brokers of the year by Registered Representative (2) the industry’s respected trade journal, and the Baltimore Sun named Larry one of the top brokers in the state of Maryland in 1985 (3). In 2005 and again in 2006, he was named to the Barron’s magazine “The Top 100 Brokers” list (4). In 2005, he was cited in The Winner’s Circle State-by-State article published in Research Magazine.
In 2006 he received the Wachovia Way Award, which celebrates the accomplishments of Financial Advisors who have achieved extraordinary success in both their professional and personal lives. In 2008, Larry was named as one of the top five Financial Advisors in the state of Maryland. Also in 2008, The Boggs Wealth Management Group was named by Research Magazine as one of the Top 50 teams in the country.
Larry serves as treasurer of the League for Crippled Children and on the boards of Frostburg State University, the Maryland State College System and the Western Maryland Health Systems Foundation. In addition to applicable securities registrations and insurance licenses, he holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland and his MBA from Frostburg State University. He and his wife, Deborah, have three grown daughters, Dagenais, Mirjhana and ZsaKiara, and three grandsons, Treyden, Liam & Carder.
