Gary Alexander has practiced law since 1967 as a member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia Bar Associations. The firm expanded to include a government relations practice in 1995 and has since grown to be the top government relations and lobby firm in Maryland. The firm’s services include procurement, event planning, ethics compliance, business development and marketing, Federal, State, and local executive and legislative branch lobbying and many other government relations services.
Mr. Alexander was elected to three terms of the Prince George’s Democratic Central Committee and chair. He was elected to serve 12 years as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates including Speaker Pro Tem (the second highest position in the House); Vice Chair of the House Economic Matters Committee; and Chair of the Joint Committee on Energy Pricing. He has been included as a Maryland “Super Lawyer” in the field of Energy and Environmental Law; and for more than a decade in a national survey among The Best Lawyers in America, edited by Pulitzer Prize winning authors Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith.
Mr. Alexander has lectured extensively on energy, public utility and administrative law. He also served as the People’s Council to the Maryland Public Service Commission. Mr. Alexander’s extensive knowledge of Maryland law is the foundation of his ability to succeed for his clients. In addition to representing government relations clients at the State level, Mr. Alexander often visits Capitol Hill with them to meet with the Maryland Congressional delegation.
He received a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from George Washington University National Law School.
