Eric E. McLauchlin has been practicing law in northeast Maryland since 1995 and is a founding partner of Shaffer, McLauchlin & Stover, LLC in Bel Air. Eric’s current practice includes providing comprehensive business advice in a wide variety of industries including health care, technology, professional services, restaurants and nonprofits. He routinely assists with governmental relations between his clients, Harford County, its municipalities and their many agencies, particularly where real estate and economic development efforts are concerned. He was appointed by three successive County administrations to serve as the Chairman of the Harford County Economic Development Advisory Board, a position he held for over ten years.
Eric is a graduate and former Board Member of the Harford Leadership Academy and was selected from among the Academy’s alumni as one if its Top Twenty Harford County Leaders. In 2013 he was named as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Maryland Attorney Advocate of the Year.
Eric graduated summa cum laude from Salisbury University and received his J.D. as an honors graduate from the Carey School of Law at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He has served as president of the Salisbury University Alumni Association and as Chairman of the Harford Community College Foundation board.
