David Mister has been a practicing trial lawyer in Baltimore County for over 32 years, with emphasis in alcoholic beverages licensing, regulation, and litigation. He was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County from 1974-1980; then, founding partner of Ruppersberger, Winter, Clark and Mister in 1980, the predecessor of his current firm. He is a member of the bar of the State of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
David Mister is a 1970 graduate of UMBC, where he was a varsity letterman in lacrosse, and a 1973 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law. He was a founding director of the first UMBC Alumni Association, founding director of the UMBC Retriever Club, President of the UMBC Alumni Association for three years, 1979-1982, and President of the University of Maryland Alumni Association-International, 1984-85.
