Arthur G. Greenberg is a Vice Chairman1 in the Washington, DC office of Savills, Inc., an international real estate services firm [LSE:SVE] whose United States operations are focused on providing services to occupiers (tenants and user-owners) of real estate. Art has negotiated over 15 million square feet of transactions for corporations, law firms and not-for profit clients, including build-to-suits, lease restructures, joint ventures, traditional leases, and sales and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Savills in 1994, Art’s distinguished career included stints at (a) UNC Inc. [formerly NYSE:UNC] as the Vice President and General Manager – UNC Aviation Alliance & Capital Group (aircraft leasing) and Vice President, Finance – UNC Aviation Services (a government contractor), (b) Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for Sequoia Building Corporation where he was responsible for negotiating over $1 billion of debt and equity placements, and (c) as a senior manager at Deloitte.
Art’s corporate board experience includes American Trading and Production Corporation (Atapco) where he has been a board member since 2000, investment committee member since its inception in 2009 and chair of the audit committee since its inception in 2009. In 2023, Art joined Chevy Chase Land Company’s board and investment committee.
From Art’s 23 years on Atapco’s board and professional experience, he has a working knowledge of asset allocation, public equity, private equity, venture capital, hedging (swaps, caps, puts, calls, collars), hedge funds and real estate (office, retail, multi-family, industrial and land).
Complimenting Art’s corporate board experience, his not-for-profit board experience includes Lakewood Country Club (currently President), Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington (formerly Treasurer) and Jewish Camp and Conference Center d/b/a Capital Camps.
Art graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland – College Park, College of Business and Management, with a concentration in accounting. Art is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status).
Art and his wife, Leslie Gardner Greenberg, have three adult children and live in Potomac, MD.
