Alicia N. Ritchie

Alicia N. Ritchie is a partner at the law firm Nelson Mullins located in Baltimore.  Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Alicia was a principal at the law firm of Miles & Stockbridge, where she represented manufacturers, retailers, and other corporate clients in a variety of litigation matters. Alicia is a trial, appellate, and regulatory lawyer who has experience in products liability and mass tort litigation matters involving multiple parties, multiple claims, and the allocation of liability among related corporate entities. Alicia also handles insurance coverage disputes, commercial disputes, and premises liability cases locally and nationally.

Before joining Miles & Stockbridge, Alicia served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Robert M. Bell, Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals of Maryland. Alicia graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law (2006) and magna cum laude from Coppin State University (1999), where she played Division I basketball.

Alicia currently serves as chair of the Coppin State University Development Foundation Board and is the past chair of the board’s Governance Committee. She also serves as vice-chair for various committees of the ABA and as a member of the ABA’s TIPS Leadership Academy Task Force and Women Trial Lawyers Task Force. Alicia is also a member of the Fannie Angelos Program for Academic Excellence Advisory Board and the Lawyers’ Campaign for the CollegeBound Foundation. Alicia is a graduate of the TIPS Leadership Academy Program and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellowship Program. She has been named a Rising Star by Maryland Super Lawyers in the areas of Business Litigation (2012-2014) and Class Action/Mass Torts (2015-2016) and as one of The Daily Record’s Leading Women (2016).  Alicia was also named Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Distinguished Woman (2018), The Daily Record’s Top 100 Women (2019), and Benchmark Litigation Future Star (2021).
