Board Director Ali Von Paris is the Owner and Founder of Route One Apparel, which has been named the number one fastest-growing private company by the Baltimore Business Journal. The list is ranked by average percent of revenue growth between 2018, 2019, and 2020. In order to be considered for the list, companies must have at least $100,000 revenue in 2018 and $1 million in 2020; growth must be consecutive year over year; and companies must be based in Greater Baltimore.
Route One Apparel provides trendy and affordable Maryland pride apparel and accessories. The company has licensing rights with the University of Maryland, College Park, National Bohemian, Old Bay, and UTZ, to name a few. They offer a full line of items that are sold online and in retailers throughout the area. In an interview with the Baltimore Business Journal, Ali notes that Route One Apparel experienced a drop in sales at the beginning of the pandemic, but quickly adapted to produce pandemic-themed products and face masks and hosted other retailer’s products online that were unable to operate their own e-commerce platforms.
Recently, Route One Apparel expanded into alcohol sales with the launch of a new site, Thirsty Turtle. The Thirsty Turtle offers beer, wine, and liquor from Maryland-based breweries and distilleries.
