Marian C. Hwang is a principal with the law firm of Miles & Stockbridge, where she chairs the firm’s Environmental Practice Group. She counsels clients on environmental compliance, transaction and litigation matters and frequently lectures on various environmental subjects. Ms. Hwang has been appointed by Governor O’Malley to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Trial Courts of Baltimore City, and currently serves on the executive boards of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and the Bar Association for Baltimore City (BABC).
She also is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Environmental Law Institute, Network 2000, Inc. (previously serving as its President and other offices), and the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (previously serving on its executive council and other vice-chair positions).
She has been named as one the Best Lawyers in America for Environmental Law from 2006 to present, and has received numerous other legal and professional recognitions from the Daily Record, the BABC and the Asian Pacific Bar Association of Maryland. She received her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1984 and graduated cum laude from Hofstra University in 1972. Ms. Hwang resides in Owings Mills, MD with her husband, Arcangelo M. Tuminelli, Attorney-at-Law, and their daughter, Catherine.
