If you could learn a skill-set to improve communication and results with team-mates above, below, and beside you on the org chart without completely exhausting yourself, would you do it?  What if the skills you’ll practice also helped you to manage relationships with donors, volunteers…and your kids?

Introducing, Coaching Skills for Leaders: a hands-on practicum for advancement professionals.

Strengthen bonds, capacity, and performance with everyone on your team!

Our active, skill-building workshop will help you to:

  • Understand what coaching is and isn’t, when to do it and when to steer clear.
  • Experience the reasons behind coaching’s efficacy in the workplace.
  • Practice introductory coaching fundamentals in a safe space with your peers.
  • Through paired practice with supervision and feedback, develop skills in framing the conversation, listening, questioning, helping the “client” develop their own solutions, and ensuring accountability.
  • Identify challenges, pitfalls, and solutions.
  • Finish the day with takeaways and intentions to use coaching skills, starting now.

“Beth Herman’s Coaching Skills for Leaders workshop remains one of the best professional development experiences I’ve had in my 23 years in university advancement.  Our leadership team uses the tools we learned and practiced with Beth, every day.  We have all become better leaders as we use coaching to empower our teams to identify and implement their own solutions.  Beth’s kind, thoughtful and supportive approach brings out the best in everyone.  I am grateful to have her as OUR coach!”
