“Alumni Relations Brainstorming”
Wednesday, November 13
10:00 am – 11:00 am
Zoom

Description: One of the most challenging aspects of fundraising in the academic world is the tricky and ever-changing  way to engage alumni and eventually move them from friends to donors in order to build a new funnel of individuals who support the university system financially. Instead of a fix-all solution, you may have a few ideas cobbled together to roll out to your more recent graduates, but need a little extra brainstorming to get the mix of engagement, interest and momentum to move them closer to being an annual supporter. So, let’s put our heads together, and use examples of what other schools do to successfully give alumni a reason to give generously for years to come!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Take current activities and ideas and tweak them to develop events, communications and follow ups to give value to alumni
  2. Work through some of the challenges we are facing and develop some responses to feedback on programs or events that are not as well attended or participated in as we would like
  3. Develop scripts, frameworks and processes to engage without seeming too aggressive to recent graduates and individual alumni who have fallen off our donor records.
