Major General Roger R. Blunt (Ret.), P.E. is President and Managing Member of Essex Construction, LLC. Blunt has been engaged in civil engineering design and construction since 1972. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia; and, he has exercised technical supervision and executive oversight in the successful completion of more than $500 million in construction value. Blunt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering and Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As Chairman of the Pan African Health Foundation (USA), he has overseen the development of an Automatic Disabling Syringe factory which will produce 160 million syringes annually in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Over the course of his career he has provided consulting services to AFRICARE on the African continent and to private business interests in Ghana. Blunt's professional affiliations include: The American Nuclear Society, The American Society of Civil Engineers, The Society of American Military Engineers, and The Associated General Contractors of America.
