Robert M. Pinkard co-founded Cassidy & Pinkard in 1981 with Patrick J. Cassidy and John F. Jaeger. He had previously been with Barnes, Morris and Pardoe Realty Associates Inc. In 1993, he was responsible for the formation of Cassidy & Pinkard’s strategic alliance with Sonnenblick-Goldman and for adding property management, construction, and development capabilities to the company.
In 1999, Mr. Pinkard was a finalist in the Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year” award program. He is a former chairman of the Greater Washington Board of Trade’s DC Development Committee, Chairman of the Maryland/DC Chapter of the Nature Conservancy, director of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, director of the France-Merrick Foundation, and director of the Urban Land Institute’s Washington District Council. He is currently active in numerous committees of the Washington Board of Trade and a trustee of the Greater Washington Research Center. Mr. Pinkard is a graduate of Williams College.
