Neil Moskowitz is the retired chief financial officer of Credit Suisse First Boston. He had previously been chief operating officer of the institutional securities division and of the equities division of the company. In 1996, Mr. Moskowitz established the Martin Moskowitz Award Fund at the College of Behavioral and Social Science at the University of Maryland College Park in honor of his late father who was a lawyer with the Securities and Exchange Commission and a specialist in options trading. The award provides support for an annual award to a student enrolled in the department of economics. A native of Silver Spring, Mr. Moskowitz was elected Phi Beta Kappa at Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1980 with a BA in Economics.

After obtaining his MBA in 1984 from Harvard, he began his career with Goldman Sachs in London and in New York City as a manger of U. S. and European equity operations, rising to the title of vice president of Global Operations at the company. He was with Goldman Sachs for 10 years prior to joining Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Moskowitz received the Distinguished Alumnus award from the College of Behavioral and Social Science in 2001. He has hosted economics undergraduate students at his office, briefing them on how a large financial institution functions and describing career opportunities on Wall Street.
