Francis S. Soistman co-founded Jessamine Healthcare in May 2010. In his role as Executive Vice President, Mr. Soistman is responsible for all aspects of the business operations at Jessamine. In addition he is actively involved with identifying and pursuing acquisition opportunities in the healthcare services and health insurance sectors, working collaboratively with Jessamine's Private Equity Partner, GTCR.

Prior to joining Jessamine Healthcare, Mr. Soistman served as Executive Vice President of Coventry Health Care, a for-profit publicly traded company, beginning in January 2005 through June of 2009. Mr. Soistman was credited for transforming Coventry from a portfolio of local health plans to one of the top five largest Medicare Advantage and Part D Plan Sponsors in the nation. His leadership is credited with growing the divisions revenues from $1.7 billion in 2005 to $7.5 billion in 2009.

Previously, Mr. Soistman served as Senior Vice President of Coventry Health Care and as well as President/Chief Executive Officer of HealthAmerica Pennsylvania, Inc. and HealthAssurance Pennsylvania, Inc., Coventry's Pennsylvania subsidiaries beginning May 1998. In this role, he oversaw statewide health plan operations in Pennsylvania and Ohio consisting of HMO, PPO, POS, ASO, Medicare + Choice and Medicaid products. During the period of May 1998 to December 2004, revenues grew from $450 million to nearly $2.0 billion.

In June 2004, Mr. Soistman was a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(r) award in the Healthcare Technology/Services category. In August 2004, Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell appointed Mr. Soistman to the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council to assist in providing direction for the state agency charged with addressing growing health care costs. His four year term expired in 2008. Mr. Soistman serves on numerous not for profit and for profit boards of directors and advisory boards.
