UM School of Law Kicks Off Campaign at Hidden Waters

On November 15, the University of Maryland School of Law kicked off its $50 million campaign, Making an Impact, at Chancellor Kirwan's residence at Hidden Waters near Baltimore. The law school's campaign is part of the $650 million campaign the University of Maryland, Baltimore announced last month, which will run through 2012. To date, the law school has raised $25 million toward its goal.

The campaign will support student scholarships, faculty, and programs, as well as the dean's discretionary fund. It is being co-chaired by Henry H. Hopkins, '68, senior vice president and general counsel for T. Rowe Price; and Joanne Pollack, '76, vice president and general counsel for Johns Hopkins Medicine.

We salute Dean Karen H. Rothenberg, law school staff, and volunteers for their hard work in this campaign. The University of Maryland School of Law is ranked 36th among all law schools in U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools 2008."
