UMB Kicks Off $650M Campaign at Founder’s Week Gala

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) announced its $650 million fundraising campaign, Making an Impact Worldwide, at its Founder's Week Gala, held at the Hippodrome Theatre October 9. More than 700 people attended the black-tie event. The $650 million goal is three times larger than any campaign UMB has undertaken and will raise funds for scholarships, endowed chairs, programs, and capital projects. USM Regent and former State Senator Francis X. Kelly, Jr., is chairing the campaign. The campaign will run through 2012.
