Emmerson Small is a Private Investment Management Senior Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo Advisors. Emmerson also manages the Towson MD office of Wells Fargo Advisors.

He is a Certified Financial Planner®. Emmerson has been in the financial services industry for the past 27 years and before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2005 he was with Morgan Stanley for 15 years.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Emmerson graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with a B.A. in Economics in 1974. At UMBC he played varsity basketball and, as the school’s first player to score 1,000 points, was inducted into the UMBC Athletic Hall of Fame. Emmerson also received an MBA in Finance from Loyola College (MD).

In his free time Emmerson trains in and teaches Tae Kwon Do, in which he holds a 4th Degree black belt. He also enjoys boating during the summer months. He resides in Lutherville, MD with his wife Edie and son Stephen.
