Managing funds and working closely with our campus administrators plays a significant role in our day-to-day operations here at the University System of Maryland Foundation. Our Business Services Staff administers more than 7,000 current use and endowment funds in partnership with 23 higher education institutions throughout the state of Maryland.
We have a dedicated team of staff members who are responsible for processing gifts, managing disbursements, accounting for investments, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Foundation. They work diligently to ensure our practices are compliant with audit and tax regulations.
We regularly provide training for new and current administrators on our policies, procedures, and forms and how to use our dedicated software for account administration. Through our web site and the publishing of our newsletter, the Monthly Ledger, we share with our institutional partners the activities taking place at the USM Foundation, answer frequently asked questions, and provide reminders of important deadlines and dates.
