Adelphi, Maryland – The University System of Maryland Foundation is pleased to announce that Billl Wojcik has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Bill will provide leadership and expertise to the USM Foundation and to affiliated foundations across the University System of Maryland. He will lead efforts to minimize and identify ongoing enterprise risk management issues and continue to improve the Foundation’s use of technology. He will also lead strategic efforts to ensure that the Foundation uses its resources wisely and that its business relationships are beneficial, effective, and efficient.
President and Chief Executive Officer Leonard Raley made the announcement on Tuesday, July 22nd. “Through his actions and leadership since he joined our staff in June 2011, Bill has brought a heightened culture of transparency, responsiveness, integrity and professionalism to the Foundation. He has also proven to be an outstanding manager and strategic thinker who has built a team that performs at the highest levels,” said Raley.
Bill has 30 years of financial management and financial software implementation experience. Prior to joining the Foundation, Bill was a Senior Financial Systems Consultant for Blackbaud, Inc. and assisted numerous higher education institutions and other non-profit organizations across the country in implementing Financial Edge, which is accounting software used by the Foundation and thousands of nonprofits nationally.
