President Raley’s Announcement Regarding COO Bill Wojcik

"After seven years of service to the USM Foundation, Chief Operating Officer Bill Wojcik has announced that he is resigning his position. He will stay on through September to assist us as he transitions to his new job. Roy Hossler, senior executive accountant, will serve as interim COO. Bill will be joining a Pittsburgh-based company that sells and implements financial/operational systems for manufacturing companies. As many of you know, Pittsburgh is Bill’s home base. For Bill, this move means that he will no longer be a “super commuter,” traveling to Pittsburgh every weekend to be with his wife. He will work from home and do only regional travel. Bill’s accomplishments at the Foundation are exhaustive. He has completely revamped and modernized our business operations, effectively led our Audit and Budget and Finance committees, and worked to improve Advance, our alumni donor database consortium. His unique ability to combine technical expertise with visionary business operational leadership will be sorely missed. I hope you will take a moment to thank Bill for his service and to congratulate him on his new position."

Our Vision

Our vision is to attract broad resources that transform the USM and its institutions, create a network of advocates to embrace the USM’s role as an educator and economic engine, and to grow a long-term, sustainable culture of philanthropy across the University System of Maryland.
