Ms. Sherman is a partner at Gallagher, Evelius & Jones, LLP, where her practice focuses on exempt organizations law, estates and trusts, and general transactional tax law. Ms. Sherman represents educational institutions, religious organizations, and other non-profit entities with regard to a wide range of business and corporate matters, including issues affecting their development programs. Through her estate planning practice, Ms. Sherman counsels high net worth individuals, including entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners with regard to transfer tax planning, business succession, and charitable giving.

Ms. Sherman received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with high distinction, from the University of Virginia (1990) and a Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School (1993). Ms. Sherman also clerked for the Honorable Marvin J. Garbis, U.S. District Judge, Baltimore, Maryland, and participated in the U. S. Department of Justice Honors Program as a litigator for the Tax Division.

Ms. Sherman is active in several local charitable organizations. She serves on the Boards of the Baltimore School for the Arts, Baltimore Design School, New Leaders for New Schools, and Samuel Ready Scholarships. She is also on the Planned Giving Advisory Committees for Associated Catholic Charities-Maryland and Maryland Institute College of Art.
