USM Foundation Announces its 2014 Art Contest Winners!

The University System of Maryland Foundation has announced the winners from its third annual art contest. The art contest encouraged submissions to create a work of art that would reflect the Nelson Mandela quote, “Vision without action is just a dream, action without vision just passes the time, and vision with action can change the world." The contest was open to all faculty, staff, and students throughout the University System of Maryland (USM).

The grand prizewinner is Julie B. Simon, an associate professor and director of the B.A. Digital Communications program at the University Baltimore. Her artwork was thoughtful, dynamic, and engaging and was an unanimous winner in this year’s contest.
