USM Foundation Announces its 2013 Art Contest Winners!

Amy Berbert

The University System of Maryland Foundation is thrilled to showcase the results of our second annual art contest. The art contest encouraged submissions to consider the quote, “I want to put a ding in the universe,” by Steve Jobs, and to create a work of art that would reflect the quote. The contest was open to all faculty, staff, and students throughout the University System of Maryland (USM).

It was a difficult decision with so many talented and articulate entries, but we finally narrowed it down to five: one grand prizewinner and four runners up. Our grand prizewinner, Amy Berbert, comes to us as a freshman in the Visual Arts program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. In addition to the grand prizewinner, there were several runners up who are featured throughout the 2013 Annual Report.
