USM Names Robert L. Caret New Chancellor
After a successful tenure as president of the five-campus University of Massachusetts system, Robert L. Caret will return to Maryland as chancellor of the University System of Maryland. James L. Shea, chairman of the USM Board of Regents, announced the board's appointment of Caret, effective July 1, 2015. Caret served as president of Towson University, one of USM's 12 institutions, from 2003 to 2011.Read more.

2014 Art Contest Winners!
The University System of Maryland Foundation has announced the winners from its third annual art contest. The art contest encouraged submissions to create a work of art that would reflect the Nelson Mandela quote, “Vision without action is just a dream, action without vision just passes the time, and vision with action can change the world."
